Supporters of La Liga champions Barcelona can on Tuesday evening breathe a collective sigh of relief… This comes after star frontman and captain Raphinha provided an insight into his current wellbeing.
Raphinha for his part set alarm bells ringing across Catalunya’s capital earlier today. Afforded a starting berth in Brazil’s friendly meeting with Australia, the 29-year-old kept alive his scintillating recent run of form, courtesy of a goal from the penalty spot.
Upon Carlo Ancelotti’s side reemerging for the 2nd-half, however, Raphinha was nowhere to be seen. It was later confirmed by the CBF that this came as a result of ‘muscle discomfort’.
After Ancelotti failed to provide an update on the situation post-match, fears continued to mount regarding a potential incoming spell on the sidelines for Raphinha.
If the latest comments on the part of the versatile attacker himself are anything to go by, though, then those back in Barcelona need not fret.
Asked by a reporter on his way out of the stadium if his thighs are ”okay”, Raphinha assured that he is ”alright”.
