Raheem Sterling open to leaving Manchester City for new challenge abroad

In an interview with the Financial Times, Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling spoke about possibly leaving the Premier League club.

“If there was an opportunity to go somewhere else, I’d be open to it at this moment in time.

“As an English player, all I know is the Premier League. I’ve always known that maybe one day, I would love to play abroad and see how I would come up against that challenge.

I should learn different languages, I quite like the French and Spanish accents.”

Sterling has been linked with a move to Barcelona in January, although it remains to be seen if the La Liga side will be able to find the required finance for the England international.
