Speaking in an interview with Onda Cero, Barcelona head coach Quique Setién revealed that the Catalan club may struggle to sign Inter striker Lautaro Martínez this summer, due to COVID-19.
Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for the Argentine, however the former Real Betis coach believes the current global pandemic will have a financial impact on clubs.
“These are footballers who are very expensive and with the current situation that the clubs face it’s going to be quite complicated. I’m not optimistic or pessimistic about Lautaro Martinez. I like Lautaro a lot, he’s a great footballer but the truth is I’m not getting too excited by any players right now due to the situation we find ourselves in.”
