Paris Saint-Germain star Fabián Ruiz has this week opened up on his desire to one day take his talents back to La Liga, to line out in the colours of Real Betis.
Ruiz is for his part of course now widely recognised as one of the standout midfielders in world football.
Playing a starring role for Paris Saint-Germain and Spain alike, the 30-year-old is fresh off back-to-back Champions League titles, before being crowned a world champion over the summer.
Such ongoing excellence recently saw Ruiz rewarded with a new contract at the Parc des Princes, considered a vital figure in Luis Enrique’s all-conquering PSG squad.
As alluded to above, though, down the line, the 51-time capped Spanish international has his sights firmly set on a reunion with Real Betis. Ruiz spent 14 years on the books of Betis earlier in his career, developing in the Verdiblancos’ academy before breaking into the first-team picture.
And speaking in front of the media this week, the talented midfielder admitted:
“I am a big Real Betis fan. The whole world knows that. I’d love to return one day. Now, it’s not the right time. I’m happy at PSG. One day, for sure, yes.”
