PSG open to selling midfielder Carlos Soler

According to AS via French newspaper Le Parisien, PSG are preparing for the upcoming January transfer window.

The Ligue 1 side reportedly want to bring in a left-back on loan with an option to buy, but first, they will have to move players on.

One of the players who they are willing to sell is Spanish midfielder and former Valencia captain Carlos Soler, as the Spaniard is not in head coach Luis Enrique’s plans.

Soler, on the other hand, is believed to be willing to stay in Paris despite having less game time than he would like.

The versatile midfielder, who has been capped 14 times by Spain at senior level, has made six appearances in Ligue 1 this season.

The 26-year-old has a deal at the Parc des Princes that runs until June 2027.

Who is Carlos Soler?

Soler became a fan favourite at Valencia, having come through the club’s youth academy to eventually wear the captain’s armband at Mestalla.

He can slot into numerous roles and has played wide in a midfield four, as a number eight and as a deep-lying number six.
