PSG star forced off ahead of Barcelona clash

Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have this evening been dealt a blow on the personnel front.

This comes fresh off the capital giants’ latest outing on Saturday night.

PSG marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Clermont to the Parc des Princes for a Ligue 1 clash.

Luis Enrique opted to rotate his XI ahead of Wednesday’s upcoming Champions League showdown with Barcelona, culminating in a disjointed display en route to a 1-1 draw.

As alluded to above, though, despite efforts to keep his squad as fresh as possible on Saturday, Enrique and co. were nevertheless dealt a blow.

This came inside the opening ten minutes of action in Paris, when Nordi Mukiele was forced into a departure from proceedings.

After being on the receiving end of a heavy blow to the face, stopper Mukiele was left grounded, and bloodied.

Upon being tended to by the hosts’ medical team, it was subsequently decided that the 26-year-old was not in a fit state to continue.

With Achraf Hakimi already ruled out for Wednesday’s meeting with Barcelona, as much came as an understandable source of concern for all associated with PSG.

As long as a concussion is ruled out, Mukiele should, though, be in a fit state to feature from the off against the Blaugrana.
