The powers that be at Barcelona are ready to listen to offers for attacker Raphinha this summer.
That’s according to Sport, who have this afternoon provided an insight into developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Raphinha, it is claimed, is no longer viewed as being untouchable in Xavi’s squad.
In fact, amid their long-standing efforts to raise funds for reinforcements, Joan Laporta and his team have decided that the Brazilian international’s should be the first name on the chopping block this summer.
This comes largely owing to the recent emergence of Lamine Yamal.
Whilst Lamine has long been considered a future star in the making at Barca, amid Raphinha’s injury absence, the 16-year-old has made the right wing his own, by way of a string of scintillating performances.
As a result, the Blaugrana will seek out substantial offers for Raphinha over the coming weeks and months, despite the former Leeds United’s man’s eagerness to remain.
In the Premier League, all of Newcastle United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation.
