Predicted USA XI vs Wales

The United States and Wales will play the second match of Group B at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Monday night.

The Welsh return to the World Cup for the first time in 64 years and the USA are playing their 11th World Cup match.

USA

Gregg Berhalter’s side arrive in Qatar with a team led by young stars, including Christian Pulisic, Sergiño Dest, Gio Reyna and Yunus Musah. Celta Vigo player Luca de la Torre and Timothy Weah, son of the legendary Milan striker George Weah, are included in the squad. With the MLS on the rise, the United States are returning to the World Cup after missing out on Russia.

Wales

Wales head into the tournament after beating Austria and Ukraine in the playoffs thanks to goals from Gareth Bale, who will finally fulfil his dream of going to a World Cup. The former Real Madrid player left last summer to play in the MLS in order to be in the best possible shape for Qatar, and he will be at the World Cup after winning the US championship with Los Angeles FC.

Although he has been in and out of the side at Chelsea and has not been a regular starter, there is no doubt that Pulisic is the most exciting player for the USMNT.

The USA could line up as follows, according to Marca:

Turner – Dest, Zimmerman, Ream, Robinson – Adams, McKennie, Reyna, Pulisic – Sargent, Wright.
