Predicted Spain XI vs Northern Ireland

Spain take on Northern Ireland on Saturday evening in Mallorca in their final warm-up game before heading to Germany for the Euros.

This marks the first time that Spain have taken on Northern Ireland since Euro 2008 qualifying, when Xavi scored the only goal in a 1-0 win.

Dani Olmo is the only injury doubt for Luis de la Fuente’s men, seeing as he is still dealing with the latter stages of a strain, whilst Northern Ireland are heading into the fixture with a fully fit squad.

Dani Carvajal, Nacho, Joselu and Aymeric Laporte are also doubts given that they arrived to the Spanish squad later than the rest of their compatriots, but it is likely that Carvajal and Laporte will be utilised for part of the match, so as to get them up to speed.

It is also very likely that Mikel Oyarzabal will be given an opportunity to start on Saturday evening, given his shining hattrick performance in the match against Andorra on Wednesday.

His side’s last outing before things kick off for real next week, it is likely that Luis de la Fuente will go for a lineup as close as possible to the one which will head out to face Croatia in Berlin next Saturday.

Predicted Spain XI vs Northern Ireland
