Despite walking off injured midweek, the Chilean coach confirmed that Luiz Felipe is fit to play. With the absence of Juanmi and Nabil Fekir, Sergio Canales will probably start once again, despite playing almost the whole match last Thursday.
Álex Moreno is expected to return to the starting XI despite Juan Miranda’s impressive performance against Ludogorets. Guido Rodríguez and William Carvalho, who were rested in Real Betis’ European fixture, will most likely also start against Girona.
Estadio Deportivo predict that Pellegrini will field the following starting XI later today against Girona: Rui Silva – Aitor Ruibal, Germán Pezzella, Luiz Felipe or Edgar González, Álex Moreno – Guido Rodríguez, William Carvalho, Luiz Henrique, Sergio Canales, Rodri – Borja Iglesias.
