Predicted Netherlands XI vs Qatar

The Netherlands play Qatar later today in the final round of the World Cup group stages.

Louis van Gaal is expected to rotate his team from the one that drew against Ecuador on Friday. The former Barcelona coach is predicted to start two players from La Liga, both from the team which he managed between 1997 and 2000.

Barça’s Frenkie de Jong will most likely start in the centre of the Dutch midfield, while Memphis Depay is predicted to partner with Steven Bergwijn upfront. Depay has been effective in coming off the bench in the last couple of games and it is believed that his good performances in the first two matches will earn him a place in the starting lineup.

Predicted Netherlands lineup against Qatar

Mundo Deportivo predict that Van Gaal will field the following starting XI against Qatar: Andries Noppert – Matthijs de Ligt, Virgil van Dijk, Nathan Aké – Denzel Dumfries, Teun Koopmeiners, Cody Gakpo, Frenkie de Jong, Daley Blind – Steven Bergwijn, Memphis Depay.

The match is set to kick-off at 4 pm CET.
