Atlético Madrid travel to the province of Soria in the Spanish community of Castile and Léon to face Almazán in the round of 64 in the Copa del Rey.
Playing in the Spanish fifth tier and representing a small town with a population of around 5,500 people, this will be Almazán’s second appearance in the competition in the club’s history.
Having been knocked out of all European competitions and as they are trailing league leaders Barcelona by 13 points in La Liga already, the Copa del Rey remains the only silverware that Los Colchoneros can realistically win this season.
Diego Simeone is expected to rotate his team from the one that he regularly starts.
