Barcelona will be without Marc-André ter Stegen and Gavi for their trip to Vallecas on Saturday.
Iñaki Peña, 24, will start in goal in Saturday’s league match against Rayo Vallecano, as Ter Stegen misses out due to a back problem.
Despite having Ter Stegen in front of him, Peña decided last May to stay at Barça and extend his contract until 2026. In the 2022-23 season, the goalkeeper appeared in five games (2 in La Liga, 2 in the Copa del Rey and 1 in the Champions League) conceding a total of seven goals in a total of 371 minutes.
Frenkie de Jong is back for Barca but could start the match on the bench after a spell on the sidelines.
The Blaugrana have struggled against Rayo in recent times and head coach Xavi will be hoping his side can get one over Francisco’s men in the Spanish capital.
