Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang assaulted and robbed by armed gang in his home

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was assaulted by armed robbers at his house in Castelldefels, as broken by El Pais.

According to reports and witness accounts, the intruders entered the Barcelona striker’s property via his garden around 1am local time. The four men threatened Aubameyang with firearms and iron bars. He was also beaten according to police sources. The armed gang members threatened the Gabonese international’s wife as well, who was forced to open a safe from where they took several pieces of jewellery.

Aubameyang’s wife alerted the Catalan police force regarding the break-in. They are currently looking for the thieves who fled the scene in a white Audi A3.

It is not the first time that a football player’s house has been burgled. They usually enter the house when they know the player is not at home. This is exactly what happened to Jordi Alba in 2018, who was burgled when he was preparing for Barcelona’s Champions League fixture against AC Milan.
