A one-time member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was left taken aback by the brilliance of current Blaugrana star Pedri on Saturday evening.
This comes after Pedri opened the scoring in style in Barca’s meeting with Atlético Madrid.
Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action, in Catalunya’s capital.
In desperate search of a return to winning ways, the Blaugrana find themselves locked at a goal apiece in the top-of-the-table showdown.
And it was the aforementioned Pedri who opened the scoring in proceedings, courtesy of a moment of sheer individual quality.
Driving into the visitors’ penalty area, the Spanish international exchanged passes with Pedri, before picking out the far corner of Jan Oblak’s goal with a pintpoint finish.
And one individual who could not help but be impressed by such endeavours was Thiago Alcântara.
Watching on from the stands at Montjuïc, ex-Barca standout Thiago, who also acted as part of Hansi Flick’s coaching staff earlier in the season, was spotted looking in awe at the brilliance on show:
