Personal terms for Frenkie de Jong the major issue for Manchester United

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

The deal for the Dutch midfielder is worth €85m including add-ons.

As Romano reports, personal terms with De Jong is still the major issue in the deal as he wants to stay at Barcelona, where he has a contract until 2026.

United CEO Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough have been to Barcelona in an attempt to accelerate talks with the La Liga outfit.

After his summer holiday, De Jong returned to training with the Blaugrana this week.
