Pedri, essential in the Champions League

Barcelona manager Xavi has doubts about his starting eleven that will face Inter in Milan on Tuesday night. Despite defensive worries, one player who is sure to start in the Champions League is Pedri. He rested him before the Bayern Munich clash and did the same this past weekend against Mallorca. He considers him essential for the big European nights and wants him to be fresh going into the San Siro tie.

Pedri has played in all nine games (seven LaLiga and two Champions League games) for Barcelona this season, but he has been a substitute in two: in the La Liga games against Cádiz, which took place three days before the trip to Munich, and this weekend against Mallorca. After spending time on the sidelines last season, Xavi does not want to risk losing one of his key players.

According to Marca, the Spain international has made the most passes in La Liga this season (336). The Blaugrana will be hoping for another big performance from the 19-year-old creator in Milan on Tuesday night.
