Speaking to Movistar after Villarreal’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool, Pau Torres discussed the first leg.
“They’re going to punish you if you make a mistake. We started well and they grew into it in the second half and we couldn’t prevent them from scoring. It was a similar plan to the one we had in Munich.
“There are still 90 minutes left and it’s a long way to go. We spoke about keeping them out at half-time but they scored their second goal very quickly.
“We didn’t want to concede but we’re still alive. We’re strong at home, we showed it against Bayern. We play differently at home. We’ll prepare well for the second leg.”
