Ousmane Dembélé (25) was at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Tuesday and began his pre-season training, as reported by Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The French winger could not train with the group without having signed his new Barça contract, and it now appears that he has already put pen to paper on a deal until 2024.
Club directors gave the go-ahead for the Frenchman to train ahead of the new season. Dembélé did not, however, train under the orders of Xavi, but began his personalised training plan.
Dembélé’s renewal has not yet been made official by Barça and that is why the club have not yet provided images of the winger with the squad, however, team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang shared a video on Instagram where he is seen praising Memphis Depay’s look, but behind it Dembélé was spotted sitting in the dressing room, suggesting the signing of his contract could already have taken place.
