One in, one out as Granada seal deals with Man United & Bayern Munich

A busy night of business at La Liga outfit Granada has seen the Nazaríes push a pair of deals over the line ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.

First comes a high-profile departure from Alexander Medina’s squad.

After the two clubs reignited negotiations over the last couple of days, Bryan Zaragoza’s move from Granada to Bayern Munich has this evening been confirmed.

German champions Bayern, last month, initially agreed on the terms of a deal which would see wide-man Zaragoza arrive at the Allianz Arena upon the close of the campaign.

After Kingsley Coman picked up an injury, however, the Bavarians moved to bring the Spaniard’s move forward to January.

And, as per transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, they tonight struck an accord over precisely that.

Zaragoza is primed to fly out to Munich on Thursday, to link up with Thomas Tuchel’s squad with immediate effect.

And Granada have not wasted any time in sourcing a direct replacement for their gifted winger.

This comes amid further confirmation that the board at the Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes have at long last sewn up an agreement for a prime target.

The player in question? Facundo Pellistri.

Out-of-favour Manchester United man Pellistri had long given his blessing to linking up with Granada on loan for the 2nd half of the term.

Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag, however, had continued to drag his heels, amid concern that the Uruguayan’s exit would leave his squad dangerously light on options out wide.

Evidently, though, Ten Hag, tonight, has been convinced.

As revealed in a further post on the part of Fabrizio Romano, Pellistri has indeed linked up with Alexander Medina’s ranks until the summer.

The move comes in the form of a dry loan, with Man United receiving a small fee, and Granada covering the entirety of their latest signing’s wages.
