One member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona stands head and shoulders above all others, as the only member of Hansi Flick’s squad to have played every minute of the club’s campaign to date.
And his identity, in truth, should come as little surprise.
We speak of course of Jules Koundé, a player who has developed into something of a reference point both on and off the pitch at Barcelona.
The Frenchman has long been hailed for his physical preparations, with Koundé considered one of the hardest workers in the Blaugrana’s senior setup.
In fact, it has become a common occurrence for the former Sevilla man, directly after matches, to head to the gym for a personal workout.
And such top-notch preparatory work has long begun to pay off on the pitch, too.
Shining from his berth at right-back, Koundé is considered one of the first names on the team sheet of new manager Hansi Flick.
He has in turn been afforded starts in all ten of Barca’s fixtures thus far in 2024/25.
Not only that, but the talented stopper has seen out the 90 minutes on all ten occasions, making him the only Blaugrana player with 900 minutes played this season.
