On-loan Barcelona starlet Vitor Roque has endured an altogether eventful afternoon’s work on Saturday.
The Brazilian was for his part afforded a starting berth in Real Betis’ post-international break return to action, a meeting with Osasuna in Pamplona.
And it took Roque less than ten minutes to make his mark on proceedings.
After being picked out courtesy of Aitor Ruibal’s pinpoint cut-back, the 19-year-old did superbly to pick out the far corner courtesy of a sliding finish.
A short time later, however, jubilation on the part of Roque turned to despair.
After going to ground just beyond the half-hour mark, the young striker was spotted clutching at his left leg.
Roque managed to continue for the ensuing 15 minutes of action, before joining his teammates down the tunnel at the interval at El Sadar.
On the far side of the break, however, the Brazilian international was nowhere to be seen, replaced in Real Betis’ XI by Chimy Ávila.
It now remains to be seen whether or not Roque is facing up to any kind of spell on the sidelines.
