On-loan Barcelona star Marc Casadó was over the last 24 hours forced under the knife, to repair a serious shoulder injury. The midfielder is therefore facing up to an incoming spell on the treatment table.
Spanish international Casadó was of course a late-window departure from Barcelona earlier this month.
Considered surplus to requirements by Blaugrana head coach Hansi Flick, the 23-year-old was granted a season-long loan exit, to newly-promoted Deportivo La Coruña.
Casadó was in from the off for his new employers on Sunday, as Depor played host to high-flying Real Betis in a La Liga clash.
En route to a comeback share of the spoils for Antonio Hidalgo’s troops, however, the Barca youth product was forced off after picking up a shoulder problem.
And as alluded to above, 24 hours on, Deportivo have provided an update on the situation. As per a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms:
‘Marc Casadó was surgically operated on at the HM Model Hospital in A Coruña by traumatologist Rafael Arriaza with a fracture in his right clavicle. His evolution will mark his return to competition.’
