Oliver Kahn on Sergio Ramos to Bayern: “There’s nothing in it.”

Bayern Munich director Oliver Kahn has ruled out a move to sign Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos when his contract expires this summer.

Speaking in an interview with Sky 90, Kahn was asked about Bayern defender David Alaba departing and whether Ramos would be his replacement at the Allianz Arena.

We’re losing David Alaba,” the former Germany goalkeeper admitted.

We made him an offer a while ago. He didn’t accept this offer. I also understand that a player like him, who’s been at Bayern Munich for a long time, is looking for a new challenge now.

We have to think about who could be an adequate replacement for David. As a player, I’d love to have played with Ramos, but there’s nothing in [him coming to Bayern].”
