Official | Xavi sacked by Barcelona

Barcelona announced the sacking of their manager Xavi this afternoon.

This comes after weeks of speculation over the coach’s future, and after him having already announced his departure earlier this season, before then turning back on his decision.

This time it is official, the club’s social media has announced that Xavi will no longer be the manager of Barcelona.

His time at the Catalan giants saw him take charge of 141 games, winning the league and the Spanish Super Cup in the 2022/23 season.

His record at the club stands at 88 wins, 24 draws and 29 losses, a win percentage of 62.41%.

In an official club statement, Barcelona said, “FC Barcelona wishes to thank Xavi for his work as coach, as well as for his inimitable career as a player and as team captain, and wishes him every future success in the world.

The club also continued to say, “During the course of the next few days, FC Barcelona will be making an announcement regarding the new first-team structure.”
