Official: Valencia announce new president

La Liga outfit Valencia have on Monday confirmed the appointment of a new club president.

And the news has since gone down altogether poorly amongst those of a Los Che persuasion.

This comes with the brass at Mestalla having made the call to install Kiat Lim, the son of heavily criticised Valencia owner Peter, as president.

As per a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms on Monday:

‘The Board of Directors of Valencia CF is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kiat Lim as the new President of the Club, a position he will officially assume on March 5, 2025.

‘Kiat Lim, Director of Valencia CF since 2022, takes on this new responsibility at a key moment for the organisation. His appointment demonstrates a firm long-term commitment to the Club and reinforces the Club’s commitment to stability and the construction of a solid project for the future.’

Lim replaces Layhoon Chan as the boardroom chief at Valencia, with the change set to come into effect this coming Wednesday, March 5th.
