Official | Tottenham Hotspur confirm permanent signing of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis

Tottenham Hotspur have this afternoon confirmed the permanent signing of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis in a deal worth €32m. The North London club exercised the option to convert the loan of Lo Celso from Betis to a permanent transfer.

The Argentina international joined Spurs from the Andalusian club in the summer on a season-long loan deal with a 12-month fee of €16m, and a purchase option included. That option of €32m has been triggered and the player joins Spurs on a five-and-a-half-year deal.

The 23-year-old midfielder’s transfer to Tottenham comes on the same day as Real Madrid target Christian Eriksen left Spurs to sign with Inter Milan. Lo Celso has scored two goals in 20 appearances for Spurs so far this season.
