La Liga outfit Sevilla have on Thursday announced a contract renewal in the club’s first-team squad.
The player to have put pen to paper on fresh terms at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán? José Ángel Carmona.
Defender Carmona is for his part in the midst of what has been a hugely productive opening to the campaign.
After returning from a loan spell with Getafe with his future looking altogether unclear, the 22-year-old quickly set about proving his talents to new Sevilla manager García Pimienta.
And, safe to say, such efforts have since proven to be an undeniable success.
Carmona has established himself as an ever-present at the back under García Pimienta, featuring from the off in every one of Sevilla’s 14 La Liga outings thus far in 2024/25.
As much recently culminated in contract negotiations being opened between the two parties, ahead of the expiration of Carmona’s previous terms next summer.
And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, as much have borne fruit.
As per a statement across Sevilla’s official website and social media platforms:
‘Today, contract negotiations with José Ángel Carmona were finalised. His renewal will see him stay at the club for an additional three seasons, until 30 June 2028.’
