Official: Real Madrid name XI to face Sevilla, featuring 3 changes

The XI of players set to be depended upon by the Real Madrid coaching staff to get the better of Sevilla has been unveiled online.

And it features a trio of altogether noteworthy changes.

Real Madrid are of course fresh off adding to the club’s trophy cabinet once more in midweek, courtesy of a 3-0 downing of Pachuca in the Intercontinental Cup final.

Los Blancos, in turn, have shifted attentions back towards matters on the domestic front, ahead of a La Liga meeting with the aforementioned Sevilla this afternoon.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are aware that a victory would see them climb back into 2nd in Spain’s top-flight, following Atlético Madrid’s last-gasp victory over Barcelona on Saturday.

In efforts towards as much, Real’s headmaster has therefore opted to tweak his line-up for the day.

Dropping out are the suspended Vinícius Jr, as well as Fran García.

Stepping in for the former against Sevilla will be Brahim Díaz, with Eduardo Camavinga shifted to left-back to replace Fran.

This opens up a spot in the middle of the park, too, which will be filled by Dani Ceballos, again favoured to Luka Modrić this afternoon:
