Real Madrid have confirmed the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as head coach on a three-year deal until 2024.

Ancelotti returns to Real Madrid to replace Zinedine Zidane. It will be the Italian’s second spell at the club, and in his first, from 2013 to 2015, he won four titles: a Champions League, a Copa del Rey, a European Super Cup and the Club World Cup.

The Italian coach has signed for three seasons and it has not been revealed how much the club have had to pay Everton, as he had a contract there until 2024. Ancelotti was earning €12 million per season in the Premier League. According to Real Madrid, his official presentation will take place this Wednesday with president Florentino Pérez.
