La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Thursday confirmed that star attacker Kylian Mbappé has picked up an injury.
Frontman Mbappé was of course forced into a premature departure from proceedings in Real’s most recent outing, earlier this week.
En route to a 3-2 Champions League downing of Serie A outfit Atalanta, the Frenchman was hooked from the action late in the first-half.
As much came after Mbappé went to ground with what appeared to be a muscular issue.
The 25-year-old, in turn, was today put through a round of medical tests and scans in Spain’s capital.
And as much have only served in confirming the fears of all associated with the reigning European champions – that Mbappé is indeed injured.
As per a statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms:
‘Following tests carried out on Kylian Mbappé today by the Real Madrid medical department, the player has been diagnosed with a thigh injury in his left leg. His progress will be monitored.’
