La Liga outfit Osasuna have this week made official the club’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
The player to have put pen to paper on terms in Pamplona? Valentin Rosier.
The name of defender Rosier had emerged as a prominent one in the headlines surrounding Osasuna over the course of recent days.
This came after word was forthcoming that the Rojillos had emerged as frontrunners to secure the signature of the Frenchman from Leganés.
After the club’s relegation to La Liga 2, a clause in Rosier’s contract became active, allowing him to depart on a free transfer.
And on Wednesday evening, it was Osasuna who announced that they had beaten out the competition to the signature of the right-back.
As per a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms:
‘Club Atlético Osasuna has announced the signing of defender Valentin Rosier to a three-year contract. The Frenchman will join the Navarrese club as a free agent after his contract with Club Deportivo Leganés expires on June 30. He will be tied to Osasuna through the end of the 2027–28 season and will have a LaLiga EA Sports buyout clause of 15 million euros.’
