Official: One player left out again as Barcelona name squad for Getafe clash

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Saturday afternoon unveiled the club’s matchday squad to face Getafe.

And it features one altogether noteworthy omission…

Barcelona are of course primed to return to action later today.

Fresh off a fine week which saw them both clinch the Spanish Super Cup and book a spot in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey, the Blaugrana will turn attentions back towards matters in the league.

Specifically, a meeting with a Getafe side whom the Catalans have not beaten on the road since all the way back in 2019 lies in store.

And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, the group of players set to be entrusted by Hansi Flick and his coaching staff to correct this situation was unveiled.

Barca’s travelling squad to have made the trip to Madrid is showcased below.

And it features one headline omission, Ansu Fati having been left out for the fourth game in succession, amid ongoing speculation pointing towards a potential January transfer for the attacker.
