Official | Luis Suárez joins Grêmio

Grêmio have officially announced the signing of veteran striker Luis Suárez on a free transfer, according to Diario AS.

The 35-year-old will join the seventh club of his prolific career. After making his mark in Uruguay, Spain, the Netherlands and England, Suárez will look to build on his remarkable goal tally in Brazil.

According to reports in Brazil, Suárez will be the highest-paid player in the squad and one of the highest-paid players in the country.

There has been much speculation about the future of the former Barcelona player. He had offers from MLS and even from some other teams in Europe.

After winning the Uruguayan championship with Nacional less than two months ago, he is now ready for his next adventure.
