As communicated on their official website, Ajax have signed Lucas Ocampos from Sevilla.
Earlier this week it was reported that Ajax and Sevilla arrived at an agreement valued at €20m over the transfer of the Argentine winger. However, discrepancies between the two sides meant that the deal had to be changed slightly.
According to the current agreement, Ajax will pay €4m in order to secure the services of Ocampos on loan for this season. The Dutch side will have the option to purchase the player permanently in June 2023 for €16m.
Sevilla were in the market for a new winger and last night they announced the signing of Adnan Januzaj on a free transfer, who last played for Real Sociedad.
Los Nervionenses are also on the verge of signing Kasper Dolberg on loan from Nice with an option to buy. Having picked up no wins from their first three games, they hope that the new arrivals can score some vital goals this season.
