Official | Iker Casillas returns to former club Real Madrid

Real Madrid have announced that former goalkeeper Iker Casillas has joined the club as assistant to director general José Ángel Sánchez.

The legendary goalkeeper won 19 trophies during his 25-year playing career at Madrid, including three Champions League titles, three Club World Cup trophies, five LaLiga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies and four Spanish Super Cup titles.

There had been much speculation about the different roles that Casillas could perform at the club and it has been confirmed by Los Blancos that he will work as an assistant to director general of the Real Madrid Foundation, José Ángel Sánchez.
