Barcelona have announced the signing of Spanish right-back Héctor Bellerín.
The Catalan club have reached an agreement to sign the player, after he terminated his contract with Arsenal.
The player will sign a contract until 30 June 2023 and will have a release clause of €50m.
Details of Bellerín’s official presentation as a new first-team player will be announced by the club shortly.
Bellerín returns to the club after 11 years. In the summer of 2011, he left La Masia to go to London to join the Gunners as a teenager.
Bellerín spent last season on loan at Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis, where he won the Copa del Rey in April of this year. He wanted to stay at Los Verdiblancos, however, the club could not afford to sign and keep him on for the 2022-23 campaign.
With Sergiño Dest leaving Camp Nou for Serie A champions AC Milan, Bellerín will offer Barcelona boss Xavi Hernández a new option at right-back this season.
