La Liga outfit Girona have on Saturday announced a fresh addition to the club’s midfield ranks.
The player to have put pen to paper on terms at the Estadi Montilivi? Arthur Melo.
The name of midfielder Arthur had of course emerged as a prominent one in the media headlines in Spain over the course of the last week.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the Brazilian had made his way onto the transfer wishlist of the aforementioned Girona.
Out of the plans of manager Thiago Motta at Juventus, the former Barcelona man, in turn, opened discussions with the Blanquivermells brass.
And, as alluded to above, on Saturday, such talks have officially borne fruit.
As per a statement across Girona’s website and social media platforms, Arthur has joined the club with immediate effect, on loan for the remainder of the season:
‘Girona and Juventus have reached an agreement whereby Arthur Melo joins on loan until the end of the season.’
