Getafe have completed the loan signing of Real Sociedad winger Cristian Portu, the club confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.
The player will join on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy included for Getafe, believed to be in the region of €3-4 million.
The player from Murcia underwent a medical on Tuesday before putting pen to paper at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
At 30 years of age, the winger considers the move a good opportunity to get some game time, this time under the orders of Quique Sánchez Flores.
Last season, he played a total of 49 games under Imanol Alguacil, 24 as a starter, and scored two goals.
Although he still has two years left on his contract at Real Sociedad, he lost his place as a regular starter for quite a chunk of last season.
In terms of minutes, he played just over 2100 minutes, the lowest in his career. In total, he has played 181 La Liga games, scoring 36 goals.
