Official: Espanyol announce latest summer signing

La Liga outfit Espanyol have on Thursday announced a fresh addition to the club’s attacking ranks. This comes amid confirmation of Bryan Zaragoza putting pen to paper on terms at the RCDE Stadium.

Winger Zaragoza has for his part been linked with a return to his home country of Spain for several weeks now. After a third loan stint away from parent club Bayern Munich, on this occasion in Italy with AS Roma, the 24-year-old was forced to return to base in Bavaria earlier this summer.

Not in the plans of Vincent Kompany and his staff for the season ahead, Zaragoza’s representatives therefore kicked into gear a search for yet another landing spot for their client.

From here, the aforementioned Espanyol threw their hat in the ring, amid a search for fresh blood out wide with a view to the season ahead. And as alluded to above, on Thursday, the efforts of the Catalans to bring Zaragoza back to La Liga have officially borne fruit.

As per a statement across Espanyol’s social media platforms, the former Granada talent has put pen to paper on terms with Manolo González’s side.

The transfer is understood to have come in the form of a loan, with further details regarding purchase options and clauses to follow.
