Dani Rodríguez extends Mallorca contract

La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca have officially tied a key member of the club’s midfield ranks down for another year.

The player in question? Dani Rodríguez.

Attacking midfielder Rodríguez, for his part, has continued to play a pivotal role for Javier Aguirre’s Mallorca across the season to date.

Despite now being 35 years of age, he has taken to the pitch in all but one of the Bermellones’ league outings, featuring from the off in 23.

And Rodríguez has chipped in in the final third, too, to the tune of two goals and four assists to date.

In turn, recent speculation pointing towards the Mallorca brass pushing for their engine room standout to extend his expiring contract beyond the coming summer came as little surprise.

And, as alluded to above, this week, such discussions have borne fruit.

As per an official statement across Mallorca’s website and social media platforms, Rodríguez has committed to fresh terms, through the summer of 2025:

‘RCD Mallorca and Dani Rodríguez have reached an agreement to extend the player’s contract until 2025, with the option of another additional season.’
