Confirmation of the extent of the injury sufered by Barcelona starlet Sama Nomoko has on Tuesday evening come to the fore online.
And the news is of a devastating nature for the highly-regarded Blaugrana attacker.
Nomoko for his part featured from the off in a remarkable comeback on the part of Barcelona’s U19s earlier today.
After falling into a 3-1 hole in a UEFA Youth League meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt, the Catalans rattled off three straight goals, to ultimately emerge on the right side of a 4-3 result.
As alluded to above, though, their eventual victory came at a heavy cost.
After going to ground clutching his knee during the first-half, Sama Nomoko set alarm bells sounding in immediately crying out in agony.
Stretchered from the field of play, the Spanish youth international was in turn put through a round of medical tests.
And as confirmed across Barca’s social media platforms late on Tuesday, these scans revealed a torn ACL for Nomoko:
‘The tests carried out have shown that Barça Atlètic player Sama Nomoko has a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. In the coming days, he will undergo surgery, and the Club will issue a new statement.’
