La Liga giants Barcelona have this week secured the long-term future of one of the club’s standout up-and-coming talents. This comes amid confirmation that Pedro Rodríguez has put pen to paper on a new contract.
Pedro, namesake of Barcelona’s iconic former attacker, is an 18-year-old midfielder who currently plies his trade with Juliano Belletti’s Barca Atlètic.
The Spaniard is capable of filling a number of roles in the middle of the park, hailed for his versatility and technical qualities alike.
Considered one of the standout young talents in Barcelona at present, it had therefore long represented a source of concern for those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou that Pedro’s contract terms were due to expire next summer.
Talks, in turn, were recently ramped up with a view to a new-and-improved deal…
And as alluded to above, this week, an agreement between the parties was officially reached. As per a statement across the social media platforms of Barca Atlètic:
‘FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Pedro Rodríguez to extend his contract for four more seasons, which will tie him to the Club until June 30, 2030.’
