The XI of players called upon by Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick to face Real Valladolid has been unveiled online.
And it features one headline inclusion, in attack.
Barcelona are primed to return to action in short order, having made the trip to the Estadio José Zorrilla for a La Liga meeting with the aforementioned Valladolid.
Sandwiched between a pair of Champions League semi-final fixtures against Italian champions Inter Milan, the Blaugrana coaching staff were widely tipped to heavily rotate the club’s line-up on Saturday.
And this is precisely what Hansi Flick and co, in the end, have opted to do.
Dropping the likes of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Frenkie de Jong and Pau Cubarsí to the bench, Flick has called upon a new-look XI to face Valladolid.
Noteworthy inclusions, meanwhile, come in the form of Marc-André ter Stegen, Andreas Christensen Pau Víctor and Ansu Fati.
Without question the most high-profile addition to Barca’s team for the evening, though, comes out wide, where reserve team talent Dani Rodríguez is afforded his debut from the off.
