La Liga giants Barcelona have on Friday announced some altogether positive news in the club’s first-team ranks.
This comes amid confirmation that Ansu Fati has been cleared to mark his return to competitive action.
Wide-man Ansu, for his part, has of course been sidelined since last month.
As much comes after the Spaniard picked up a fresh muscular injury during a training session at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
In the thick of his attempts to work his way back into the plans of boss Hansi Flick, this setback marked a heavy personal blow for a player whose recent career has been riddled with fitness problems.
Safe to say, then, that club, player and fans alike will all no doubt be delighted to hear of Ansu on Friday taking a significant step back towards the pitch.
As per a release across Barcelona’s social media channels this afternoon, Ansu ‘has been declared fit’.
The 22-year-old, in turn, is considered as being in contention to play his part on Saturday night, when Barcelona lock horns with Atlético Madrid in a crunch top-of-the-table La Liga clash.
