Barcelona have confirmed the sacking of Eric Abidal as the club’s Director of Football.
In a statement released on Tuesday afternoon, the Catalan club thanked their former player for his efforts in the role.
“The Club would publicly like to thank Éric Abidal for his professionalism, commitment, dedication and the close and positive nature of his relationship with all aspects of the blaugrana family.”
