Official: Barcelona, Real Madrid & more learn Copa del Rey opponents

Spanish football’s leading clubs have on Monday learned their respective opponents for the round-of-32 in the Copa del Rey.

Starting from the top, Barcelona will be forced to face off with a familiar foe, having been drawn away to minnows Barbastro for the 2nd season in succession.

Last time out, the Blaugrana escaped the fixture with a narrow 3-2 victory.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, have also been pitted against lower-league opposition, in the form of 4th tier CD Minera.

Elsewhere, Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid face a trip to Marbella, reigning champions Athletic Club will be on the road at Logroñes, and Sevilla have been drawn against Almería.
