La Liga giants Barcelona have on Thursday announced the departure of a member of the club’s academy ranks.
The player to have brought a close to his stint in Catalunya’s capital? Dani Rodríguez.
The name of winger Rodríguez will be a familiar one to close followers of Barcelona, after the 20-year-old was afforded his first-team bow by Hansi Flick back in the 2024/25 campaign.
Considerable injury problems prevented the Spaniard from building on as much this past season, though, with Rodríguez having been forced to make do with life back at reserve level as a result.
Eager to establish himself as a full-time senior player over the year ahead, the attacker therefore recently made the call to seek out a new challenge away from Barcelona.
And as alluded to above, this week, Rodríguez has found precisely that.
As per a statement across the social media platforms of the Spanish champions:
‘FC Barcelona and Dinamo Zagreb have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Dani Rodríguez. The Club reserves a buy-back option on the player, as well as a percentage of any future sale.’
