Athletic Club star Nico Williams on Sunday paid something of a tribute to Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo.
This came en route to Athletic’s La Liga rout of Real Valladolid.
Ernesto Valverde’s troops marked their return to action this afternoon, welcoming Valladolid to the Basque Country for a league clash.
And the day’s hosts went on to run riot, to the tune of an eventual 7-1 triumph.
The aforementioned Nico for his part featured from the off in the clash, and went on to play a starring role.
The Spanish international notched a brilliant brace, as well as laying on an assist for a rampant Athletic outfit.
And it was in the aftermath of one of his two goals on Sunday that Nico paid tribute to five-time Ballon d’Or winner and world football icon Cristiano Ronaldo.
