Nico González on his loan deal: “I hope it ends up being re-negotiated so that I can play against Barcelona.”

According to the loan deal between Valencia and Barcelona, Nico González is not allow to play in Los Che’s match with the Blaugrana on the 30th of October.

In an interview with Catalunya Ràdio, which appeared on Marca, Nico expressed that he would love to play against Barcelona:

“It’s the game I’m most excited to play, because they are my teammates and friends, but I also understand Barça’s position and the situation as the two clubs negotiated this agreement. I hope it ends up being re-negotiated so that I can play, but it seems to me very complicated.”

The 20-year-old revealed that he is very happy to get more minutes in Valencia’s midfield than he would get at Barcelona. Nonetheless, Nico praised Sergio Busquets, who he looks up to:

“I try, above all, to look on the tactical level because he is a gifted player. He’s always in the right place to get to the ball before anyone else.”
